Warm Weather & A New Camera

Warm weather & a new camera = pictures outside, of course!

Three posts in two days? I'm on a roll!

(Please take notice that Ruth is holding Bristol for the first time while standing up. It was a very special moment for her!)

8k and Fun Run

Last Saturday, Brad participated in an 8k and the girl's in the kids fun run.

Brad has done so well with his weight loss: 42lbs currently!

Snow

Normally, I am not a huge fan of snow. However, when I woke up that morning and looked out, I knew that these little chickadees would be over the moon happy. And they were!

They absolutely couldn't wait to put on their snow clothes and go out and play. Bristol wanted to get in on the fun, but she decided to stay in with daddy.

We had no sled, so we used our clothes basket. Don't judge. It worked like a charm!

New Beginnings

I've been wanting to start blogging again and seriously lacking the motivation to do it. This same time last year, I was laying on the couch all day with morning sickness. Then I finally came out of that fog only to head into summer, our busiest time of the year with youth group. Summer ended and then homeschool started back up along with the addition of our newest little girl, Bristol. I am finally feeling as if things are returning to some sort of normalcy. Finally.

So, that being said, I changed the name of our blog and gave it a new look in hopes that it would give me a little motivation to start back up again. Life is so busy right now with four little girls, I barely have time to sit down and do anything. But I truly want to document our lives for us to look back on.

For. Real. I have to be able to document things such as Naomi's fantastic sense of fashion.

and Bristol's adorable little smile.

And a wagon ride to the mailbox that made my arms want to fall off.

So, here's to new beginnings and hoping I do better with keeping this thing up!

Swim Lessons

The girls had their first ever swim lesson today. I am with Emma during her swim lesson and Ruth and Naomi have their swim lesson with the instructor.

And...I must say I think I am enjoying it more than they are. It's not everyday you get to practice blowing bubbles in the water :)

Spring

Spring has sprung and we are taking advantage of the beautiful weather by going barefoot, making dandelion necklaces, watering flowers and riding bikes.

Ah...my favorite time of the year!

I'm in love...

I have the coolest friends ever! Yep...some of my friends from church all went in together and bought me this beeyyuutiful pink kitchen aid mixer for my birthday. What used to be only a dream is now a reality sitting prettily on my kitchen counter.

Today, we christened it by making chocolate chip blondies.

Naomi was fascinated and begged to pour the flour in. I obliged.
Emma helped with clean-up.

While Ruth colored and looked on.

Yes, I truly do have awesome friends. But, not just because they got me a pink kitchen aid mixer. Nope. They are awesome friends because of their thoughtfulness, kindness and love for me and my family. For bending over backwards to make sure I had a great birthday. For taking the time to do something that they totally did not have to do.

I LOVE the friends that God has put in my life! Thank you dear ones, not just for the pink kitchen aid mixer (though I'm LOVING it), but for your friendship and love!

Dear Emma,

I hope you will find it in your heart one day to forgive me for taking this picture.

The Birthday Girl

I admit it. I have been a terrible slacker in posting to our blog lately.

Last Saturday, our baby girl turned 2. We met family at Chuck E. Cheese and had a blast! Emma was very overwhelmed at first and didn't quite know what to do, but she warmed up and got the hang of things. She LOVED hugging the characters in the cars and loved the horse. Naomi loved everything. Ruth loved the bubble popping game and won a lot of tickets! The big kids (aka: my husband, dad and brothers) competed against each other playing basketball. I tagged along taking pictures of everyone trying not to lose my kids in the crowd. Nana and Granny held tokens and chased around their grandkids. Big Pop held Ruth up while she played her bubble popping game. Aunt Carla and Megan talked nursing in between playing games with the girls. We ate at a Mexican restaraunt. Sang Happy Birthday to the birthday girl. Then the birthday girl fell asleep almost as soon as we got in the car. Such a fun day!

Got Candy?

Lately, I just haven't felt up to blogging and actually haven't taken a whole lot of pictures. Today, though, I walked by Emma trying to choose which piece of candy she wanted to swipe from her sister's stashes.

got candy?

While I had my camera out, Ruth decided to try her hand at taking pictures.
Training her young!

Longing

Today I'm longing for warm weather, sunshine, and sand.
